Hexagonal table in oak
A few years ago I picked up a highly figured plank whilst sorting through a batch of oak at the timber yard, and put it to one side for a rainy day. It was just the right size to make the top of this occasional table.
The design features quintessential Arts & Crafts details, and the wax-oiled finish brings out the richness of the oak beautifully. The piece attracted much attention when exhibited at the 2008 Silverdale Art & Craft Trail.
